No. I highly recommend that nobody buy a used Audi or Volkswagen product.

This was not a fun task but the video was a great resource. I wish it only took four hours. Note to DIYers - take care of the fuel injectors while you have everything apart, and the Check Engine Light came on after I got everything back together but cleared and stayed off after about 50 miles of driving.

vw what a piece of thrash ... so many things that can break down , gazillion plastiky parts , and a lot of small parts that cost a fortune ... i don't even want to know how much more the parts and labor costs in the us where these things are foreign . For you as a vw technician it will be smooth sailing but for average user , vw is a money pit . Have a good one

We have a 2012 Cayenne with the 3.6 VR6. Bought it with 179k for cheap because the dealer selling it couldn't figure out why it had a parking brake fault. I decided to ignore it and not use the parking brake. Other than having to clean out the A/C drains it's been solid, now has 190k.

Have the CVT on my 2008 S Line DTM. Got the car on the cheap. Really love the CVT. With the paddle shifters, it was actually the most expensive option back then. Great mpg and faster than either the manual or tiptronic. The paddle shifters are a must have. Good video. Changed the fluid using Amzoil. No issues whatsoever. Btw, Audi does not have a chemical plant. Their fluid is made by Motul. You can buy it for less than half the price. These cars are worth the trouble of fixing up. Ive owned two Honda’s and three Toyota’s and the have little or no driving enjoyment. Just point a to point b. Absolutely love my Audi B7.

Great video chief. I'm doing front left on a 2013 sportwagen tdi. Looks very similar. I can get the drive end flange bolts in no problem. And the wheel end spline is easy too. But I'm having a very hard time torquing the drive end flange bolts to spec because the transmission and the transmission end of the axle are turning even when holding the wheel side of the axle in place with a screwdriver in the rotor. Any ideas? It's no problem getting them finger tight. The manual specifies star pattern tightening to 10 Nm and then repeat to 70 Nm for the M10 bolts. Even the 10 Nm is doable with no problem but trying to get them any tighter just spins and wraps up the boots.

My 2010 Prius has 240,000 miles and never had a problem with its CVT transmission. Maybe people should go more gentle on their transmissions and slow down

Every time something breaks on my 2013 Touareg TDI and I get annoyed but then fix it myself-my wife asks if I regret buying it….to which I always reply NO. Hands down the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. About to crack 200K on it, still on original chains at -3.4 degree camshaft deviation👌🏻

I have a 2016 Pentastar engine in hot Texas and 159,000 miles on it. I RTFM as I always do and use whichever full synthetic oil is on sale and replace it every 5000 miles. I do not detect any oil consumption at all at the end of my oil change intervals. The oil stays right where it was when I changed it. Just RTFM and obey and you are going to be okay. That's it!

I have a 2014 TDI Sport in the same exterior color. It's on the verge of 200,000 miles. The oil is changed every 5,000, fuel filter every 10,000. I've replaced the oil cooler and water pump. The brakes were just swapped over to Brembo rotors, pads & sensors. Time ceases to exist slamming on the brakes. The oil recommended is Mobile 1 0W-30 European spec, might switch to Liquimoly 5W-40 for the rest of Summer. My long term average is 28mpg. I love my Touareg. By far the best vehicles built by VW. Turn wrenches yourself and buy your mechanics doughnuts. Mechanics like doughnuts.

It looks like wind noise is not an issue with that suv. I test drove a 2023 and couldn't believe how much noise was coming in from outside while traveling at highway speed.
